Tony, I suggest you switch to HHG on those kerfs to improve tone.

I call foul! There is no way that you could use that many Costa Guitar Kerfs and come anywhere near the budget.

Since kerfs are a byproduct of our operations, this uke was actually free. I will post a sound clip as soon as I can make a video (which is required as part of the rules).

Improve the tone of a Costa? Fuggedaboudit!! Since that isn't possible, I assume your comment was meant as a joke. Good one!!

Can't be free. I was in NY in 2002; even back then it cost $600 just to walk down the sidewalk next to Costa Guitars. I paid, because I had to go to the bathroom and the nearest one was across the street. I remember some strange Neil Young sounding guy who collected my money. He was listening to a Zamfir album and grinning eerily. He showed me some pictures of his sculpture collection. After that, I no longer needed the bathroom.

The lizard is on the Brooklyn bridge. Costa guitars "sold" it to him.

I'd post in this thread, but I just don't really care all that much about it.

True. Filippo does not lie. It smells like freshly sanded Brazilian rosewood.

Not to derail this thread and the talk about my poop, but I should probably post an update pic every now and then. To that end, I decided after getting off of a plane last night that I should chamfer the top and back edges of my tail block as well as round the edges. Here is what it looked like at some point during that process. I am choosing a random pic from last night because nobody cares anyway:

Whatever.

So what's the deal with the purple sandpaper? I don't recall seeing it before. I usually use 3M Gold.

I bought it at Home Depot. It was all they had when I was there. It was do scrumptious I couldn't resist!

As men, you should all be able to recognize 12 inches when you see it.

No worries Alex. I am a bit disappointed in your lack of humor though. I expected funnier.
Anywho, I cut the excess off of the heel so I now have a 14 fret ukulele neck and I cut and glued the scarf joint. Please take note that I cleaned my shop for this pic(NTAC):

Costa Guitars is so fancy, even their hand saws operate themselves in some sort of Sorcerer’s Apprentice sort of way!
