Wow Doug, I'm so impressed! It looks extremely professional in every way. And fast, too. Looking forward to the sound clip. Congratulations. Your son's a lucky guy. Edit: I'd like to see a close-up of the fox head inlay. That and the sound port paw are really sweet. |

Thanks Beth. Here is the pic you requested. The inlay is stock from luthiersupply.com. I don't think it is marketed as a fox head but it works here. I certainly didn't want to step across a line into the world of "corny" design. I didn't, did I? I spent two hours on it this afternoon fine tuning the action at the nut and saddle. Now it plays like a dream...about as well as any other I have played and no buzz...not even at the 9-10 fret! Still waiting for the bass to emerge some more but I'll be patient. |

Really really great looking instrument. Sadly am way behind... With only a few weeks to deadline...got sidetracked by a bass... Now must get going, but this is inspirational stuff! |

Awesome, Doug! You've done a really nice job, and pretty quick, as well. Just curious, but who did you get the bearclaw top from? It looks very nice! Alex |

Maurice Roy has some great sitka! I got a couple of bearclaw and four curly sitka tops from him last month. I believe mcgr40 is also a forum member. He always seems to have some nice sets on eBay. Alex |

Doug, it is extremely tasteful...you certainly didn't cross the line! Thanks for the pic. I really like it when a theme is subtle, but carries through the whole build. Again, awesome job! |
