Still chugging along. One of the challenge builds under lacquer now, and the other will likely be FP, and start the finish soon, too. 3-4 weeks and ought to be done......

I'm still working as well. Many flaws- wouldn't have won a thing! But I am having fun. Working on the finish now with Tru-oil. Should be stringing it up this weekend. I'll post pics when I do.

I lost steam (but not interest!) when summer building season started - made good progress on my shop until the ice storm hit last month. Thought I'd get back into the basement shop this month, but a bunch of other things have come up that are keeping me away from it. I'll get it done - even if I am the last challengee to finish...

I haven't made any progress, aside from trying to work out details in my head, but hope to get moving again in the late spring. My wife has been bugging me lately to set some time aside to get started - she seems to think that guitar building would be good for me! Ha, we'll see about that.
I'm hoping to take most of the summer off from cabinetry, so it will free up time and space to do something more therapeutic. laughing6-hehe I might be changing some of the materials for my challenge guitar, but I will list that, along with pictures in my challenge thread. Happy building, all!

Hey good day to all you fine building folk [:Y:]

Well managed to start side bending on that malaysian blackwood build... over a year since I satrated, but in mitigation have built a bass and onto a 6-string electric with throughneck and carved quilted maple since... so for me who gets an average of 2 hours a week in the shop, I have my excuses lined up :D

Should have a fiull dya Saturady to do a fair bit so will try and upadte with pics as soon as I can - if I can still locate teh originla buoild thread after all this time

Take care and happy continued building loother dudes

I literally put mine back on the shelf for a year and took the time to finish #1. Now I'm hoping to get it back underway. Even if I don't "deliver" it on time I just want to have the satisfaction of having completed it.

Of course, I have prematurely started thinking about what I'd do for #3 just as I have with the second build. I kind of owe it to myself after building the forms and such for #1. Too bad #2 is essentially a semi-serviced build with a premade neck and bridge and serviced fretboard. #1 was totally a scratch build and I wanted to see how much "easier" it would be.

I'm a newb here. Haven't built one guitar yet. Getting tools and shop prepared. Have my wood already to go. But have to finish a Uke. Does a Uke count as a build? It's a tiny guitar.
