Resonator all made from the same Ash log harvested from the top of the mountain that John Henry died tunneling under. There were a couple of small holes left by the borers that killed the tree, and I left them in honor of John Henry. The walnut fingerboard and head plate were in my shop for at least 25 years. It's a National body shape and head shape. The soundhole grills are help on with magnets to allow access to the bolt on neck joint and the truss rod.

HERE IT IS ANOTHER SHODDY ACOUSTIC LEFT HANDED BASS! 33 positions and take that! NO GLUE! ALL SCREWED TOGETHER! Features a four layer body alternating between pine and plywood painted black. A 4/4 oak neck. A beautiful pine knot by the bottom horn. A headstock featuring a man wearing a top hat on fire. Open gear Wilkinson tuners. Fender acoustic bass strings and oversized strap buttons with a the original screws replaced with bigger screws! No frets! Has side numbers instead of side dots! WOo!

The above post is the previous one. And I put a sound hole in it. I'm not sure if it did anything though! 40 frets or positions after adding a piece of wood to the body it was 33 positions before. It really gives out a reverb sound on the 30 through 40 positions! Sounds like a piano on the high register but bass of course. Other than that is it a little quieter because the body is not as big, but Very easy to play!

My newest creation! Lefty acoustic bass, doesn't have the biggest sound because it is a smaller body.
