Hi Folks.

Someone has probably already thought of this but if not here goes -

I recently had cause to replace a bridge plate. Having never done this before i pondered how i would see inside and rather than use mirrors i settled on skype.

Basically i set up 2 accounts, one for my laptop one for my phone. Called myself and but my phone inside the guitar.

It worked perfectly and the repair is now done. I honestly couldn't have done it without it.

A few tips.

- Mute the microphones or you get feed back.

- Cut a piece of clear acrylic the same size and shape of you phone and place it over your phone when inside the guitar. Not only does this protect it from drops of glue and hot iron mishaps, but it also stops you from touching the screen acidentaly and switching app/hanging up the call.

- Also consider getting one of those cheap clip on fish-eye lenses for smart phones. They greatly increase your field of vision.

Anyway, just thought i'd share incase this hasn't been done already. Which it probably has.

FTL

These days you can get a borescope camera to attach to your laptop for < $20. These will fit in many "F" holes also. Save the vid file for review.
