A friend paid $75 for a Global D-body guitar about 3 years ago (with case). She asked that I take a look at this evening. Never seen such a break angle |

It looks like it needs a neck reset. Assuming it's not worth it, I'd hog off about 1/8" of the top of that bridge with a scraper. Then replace the saddle with a big ol hunk o bone, or (more appropriately) fill the saddle slot and re-cut it for a nice bone saddle. Cutting the bridge down won't help the tone any, but a good saddle might. I'm gonna take a wild guess it was never a Martin-killer anyway though. Reading back over your post, I see you weren't asking for advice, so I hope I haven't over stepped. |

But the guitar doesn't seem to have much of a future. Is the bridge lifting a bit too (the shadow at the bass wing end seems to suggest it, but might be an illusion)? We are presuming that the action is high despite the zero-height saddle? |

I get the impression that the rear of the bridge, region of the pins, is either level with the front, or even higher than the front. If so, thinning that region may be possible, and in so doing, causing more of a break angle. Wouldn't cost but the tools to do it and the masking tape to protect from damage. |
