In terms of fixing the brace, you need to get into that gap between X brace and soundboard and clean out any old dry glue and dirt. Feeler gauges with sandpaper stuck on can help, or I often use cut up bits of old worn out dozuki saw plate - they’re thin and the teeth have minimal set and scrape glue out well. Then you can slide glue in there (again, use something like a feeler gauge to work it into the gap), clamp and clean up. Then proceed as Barry advised in your other thread. |

Brilliant thankyou, I've been failing to get started on this out of fear (well, and lack of time!) For ages now. I picked that little patch off with my fingernail. Brace first, then patch the crack!
