I've accumulated wood from a few places and could use some cash on hand, so this is my first-ever OLF Swap Meet posting.

First up, the Nicaragua wood. As some of you would remember, I lived in Nicaragua for 11 months in '05-'06. I met a luthier down there who had built a ton of classical guitars and tried to help him get a steel string operation going. Long story short, it proved to be an expensive and unprofitable endeavor. I shipped a lot of wood and parts down to Nicaragua and brought most of what was left back with us when we came. I've been hanging on to the stuff because I hope to build acoustics at some point. The demands on my time from a day job and two young daughters has forced me to really wind down guitarmatch.com, so I know there won't be any building time to be found anytime soon....so I'm going to try to get my money back out of some things.

Actual shipping. I don't regularly sell wood, so I have no idea what shipping will run for small orders...would obviously prefer to combine!
If you need pics of individual sets, let me know.

Tonewood Reserve stuff

This is the wood that I'd just as soon not sell, as I've worked pretty hard to find a good stash of stuff that I can offer to clients who order custom guitars through me. I should probably liquidate a few sets to help pay off some loans, so here they are.

Colonial Tonewoods Atomic Quilt Honduran Mahogany 000
This was actually a dread set, but the sides were inadvertently cut down for an OM through a miscommunication with a luthier. The sides were bent and then straightened, but should be fine to bend again. Steve had a few sets like these and I bought the last two. Haven't seen Honduran with this much figure except for those unbelievable "the Tree" sets.

Paid $350 + shipping, asking $300.

Image

Lightly Quilted Honduran Mahogany
I've got two pretty sets like this. Nice even rolling figure, though it's not nearly as dramatic as the above set. Sold the other two sets I had from this billet a couple years ago for $150 each and the guy was thrilled with them.

$150 each

Mostly Quartersawn Brazilian Rosewood OM/000
It has some color irregularities, a small partial strip of sapwood, and a few worm holes, as you can see in the picture. Still, it's mostly quartersawn Brazilian. UPDATE: when I got this set down to examine it for a buyer, I found some checks through the wood that I had not noticed before. You might be able to squeeze a dread out still, but it's really more comfortably an OM set. I've reduced the price considerably because of this defect that I somehow missed before.

$300

Moonscape Quilted Sapele
I've been stockpiling this stuff and paying dearly for the few choice sets that seem to be left. I'd really prefer not to sell any of these sets, since I doubt I'll ever be able to get similar quality again, but I'm going to throw them up here just in case somebody's looking for something special for a client who's willing to pay for it. I've mixed and matched the sides to get the best color/figure match - you'll get exactly what's pictured.

Set #1
This has a couple voids that would need to be filled for most configurations. This really tortured looking blister quilt often seems to have that problem, as it's been in pretty much every set I've had like this.

$250

Image

Set #2
Absolutely gorgeous, more even and less twisted figure on this set. There's a pair of voids on the back pieces that would need to be filled and potentially a pair on the sides, but I think the pattern on a typical dread sides set will allow you to exclude the spot.

$350

Image

Set #3
An awesome set, with no spot work needed. More even figure, and a softer look, though the figure is well defined.

$375

Quartersawn Old Growth Brazilian Rosewood OM
Intend to keep this one, as I've got it slated for an OM build with John Slobod of Circa guitars...but I've not sold much wood yet, so I'll put it out at what it's worth to me.

$1500

Hey all - really sorry. Had a huge storm hit friday night and have been without power at home ever since. Flooded basement, downed trees, etc. Obviously have not had time to update the listings with prices or list all the sets I have. Will do so ASAP today, but I'm in training at work and probably can't do anything until lunch or this evening.

I'll pass @ $25 thanks Andrew but will offer $20.00 unless someone else grabs it first.

Cheers

Kim

Are the bridge pins slotted? If not I'll take the 4 sets of boxwood pins and 4 endpins to match.

Lex - the pins are slotted, unfortunately. I'll assume you're not interested unless I hear differently.

Thanks!

Andrew,
I'm not sure if Lance wants the Brazilian or not but if he doesn't would you consider cash plus some trades?

Thanks

Just put some Adi sets up. I need to sell a few more things, so if you have your eye on something but the price is holding you back, feel free to make a reasonable offer and you may get lucky.

Thanks,
Andrew

Hey Andrew, I'll take three of the HAA sitka tops. Pick out the best ones for me, would you?

Is Adi # 1 considered sold? It looks like there is an offer but it is not marked as sold.
