I accidentally paid twice and still can’t get into the classified section. Please fix.

I’d also like the padauk B&S set you still owe me.

Best, M

Still owes you, too, eh? Not to be too snarky, but good luck with that.

He sent me one set after waiting a couple of months. He did throw in a marginal top to apologize. I’d much rather have had the second set.

Well, that's something, anyway.

I placed three orders, got promises, excuses, delays, more excuses, accepted his offer for a refund, got 1/3 back, more promises, more excuses, then ignored-ignored-ignored. He still owes me $1,000.00.

Caveat emptor, indeed.

Good idea - I've tried his @gmail and @luthiersforum emails with no response.

I guess the PM did help - got $250 today. More "next month".

PayPal "funds request" offers another route to attempt: got $100 (though no mention this time of when 'more' might come). Whoo hoo - only $650 to go!

Lance , unless you fix this---we can't buy stuff from YOU when YOU need the $$$! Really, I paid and you sent a message that my access will expire in 1 day. Oh well, there's always E-Vil Bay and AGF...

It seems Mr Lance readily accepts money from sponsors, customers, and forum members who want to see/use the classifieds, but basically lets everything run on automatic with the occasional, rare moment of attention. And then good luck if he owes you anything...

Unfortunate, I too am waiting for access to be granted after paying for my subscription.

I've been there myself where life just gets in the way, for one reason or another. I do hope all is well with him, and feel for those of you waiting on wood, classifieds access, cash, etc. I just hope I'm not missing out on some sick wood deals?!? [headinwall]

Add me to the list of paid subscribers to classified section but no "instant access", not the next day either. PM sent to LK.

Please open the door to browsing what's here.

Thanks, Brian

Fixed! Thanks Lance

Darn - thought Mr Lance was getting into a groove, but nothing in June. Still owes me $550. Sent him another PayPal reminder. I guess we'll see what July brings.

Well, my classified access has been cut off too, and my Paypal account shows a payment of $11.88 to Lance Kragenbrink on June 29, 2019. What gives?? And we were just talking about paying more support thru Patreon..... Why?

Are you considering those interest payments!

I still don’t have access to the classifieds page even though I did paid twice. This is because I’m stupid and was likely having an adult beverage when the second request came through.

Probably for the best really.

Well, since basic interest rates are practically zero, I haven't added an interest penalty of some sort, though I have thought about it. My stupidity was sending a check rather than using paypal in the first place.

But you'd think he'd check on his forum more often - he gets money from sponsors, money from anyone wanted to use the classifieds, even money from anyone just wanting to see the classifieds, and even with all that he has the occasional 'need money for the server' drive, and a gofundme for personal stuff.

gaah

Reach out to Lance on Facebook and I’m sure he’ll get it setup right away. Something happened to the feature that automates the process, so he has to manually change your user permissions.

Amazing that this bad idea continues to operate as it does. And buyers have to subscribe as well. Nothing beats a bad idea that has double down. Better off listing where people actually exist to buy.

It isn't very busy now, probably because it's become difficult to get access. A few years ago it was much more active and I never had issues selling anything. You weren't paying to buy, you weren't paying to sell, you were paying for access. It was a great source of materials and second-hand specialized tooling. I haven't found anywhere else to buy a second-hand Elevate binding jig, so it seems like a very good idea to me.

So, once again, nothing for two months (September or October), but just got another $100, leaving $350. At this rate I might get repaid by Christmas...next year...

I found another forum where he basically blamed all his woes on Brock Poling (now VP Marketing at Stew-Mac), but his descriptions of Brock's business failings sound exactly like himself.

To answer a few PMs: no, nothing since November. No explanation, no response to repeated reminders, and certainly no estimate of payoff time. Still $350 to go.
