They seem to have disappeared from their site. Anyone know where I can get my hands on some?

Thanks in advance

Steve

That's a shame. I used to like visiting them in person when I was in town up there. Used to do a lot of business traveling to Bethlehem, and always stopped in in Nazareth when I was up there.

I'd like to order a dozen of those but if it's like John said and they are closed now I wonder what's the deal?

John, please enlighten us: 'May not reopen'? And where's the rejected parts going to go? Finished guitars? Love to hear more. Thanks.

To add on to peter's questions, do they plan to sell off their stock and then close? If we order from that website will they deliver? Or did someone forget to close down the site.

Ok good to know. They should really take that portion of the website down then.

I was happy with the ones I got from Bitteroot and they look like the Martin rods.

Just ordered a half dozen 12 and 14 fret Martin rods - no issue. Subsequent confirmation of order receipt and debit against the shop card.

These rods appear to be the standard 5mm captive nut 2-way, very beefy rods that we prefer over the imported Stewmac, etc.

Same here. I ordered a couple on the 25th just to test the system. Got the order confirmation by email. I have not received a shipping notice, so we will see how it goes. I will update if I get a shipping notice, or if the package arrives. Fingers crossed.

Thanks Woodie and James.

I like the Bitterroot ones too and have been using them for a couple years now but I would like to try and pickup a couple dozen of these before they are gone for good.

Let us know James.

Shipping notification as of yesterday afternoon. In years past, a few days for the Guitar Maker's Connection staff to pick, package, and ship was typical, so right on track.

That sounds promising.
I ordered on the 25th and still don't have a shipping notification. I just sent them a message through their email system, to check on my order. I will post when I get more info.

Even better than ship notification: UPS delivered today at 9:52 AM - both 12 and 14 fret rods were as expected.

Just to make it easier on folks to find this, you go to the Martin website, go to Gear and Accessories, then Parts, and the truss rods are right there at the bottom. I think I remember digging around on the website a few months ago and the truss rods were not available at that time. In any event , they are available now (as confirmed by Woodie’s receipt of an order), and that’s great news.

Darn it! I had hoped that it was some sort of special discount, but apparently everyone gets that pricing.
