Has anyone had experience adding stain to Aqua Coat clear grain filler? I would like to add a little amber tone to it.
I talked to Brian at Aqua Coat today and he said to mix stain with about a teaspoon of hot water and use a fork to stir it in.
I was thinking of using some ColorTone vintage amber stain.

I would like your thoughts if you have any experience at all, for example: concentration used or any other tips.
Thanks,
Bill

I just added ColorTone stain to AquaCoat the other day, a little goes a long way. I mixed 4 or 5 drops of dark walnut in about a 1/4 cup of filler because I wanted it pretty dark. Adding the stain to a bit of water may help but I didn't use any extra water and it was fine. Used it on some figured Honduran Rosewood.

Looks great! I'm a big fan of Aquacoat, and the extra dye sure looks good on your rosewood!
