Does anyone have a source for high quality set of 12 string slotted tuners, ? something comparable to gotoh, schaller, etc quality . Looked at the stew mac ones , but did not care for the style .we are looking for something with a nickel or silver finish. TNX in advance cheers ernie.

Lmii has these for slot heads but it would take two sets for a 12 string. GNBSLOT.

I highly recommend Rubner tuners from Germany. They will make them up for you at a reasonable cost.
You have your choice of finishes, engraving tuner buttons (including real MOP) . They are great quality tuners.ImageImage

Thank you brad, Will contact rubner in MN , did not see the 12 string tuners there, But will ask them. . Carl yes those gotohs are a nice slot head tuner. But I would prefer the 6 on a plate style of tuners . . My headstock is 235 mm and I am trying to replicate the design on my 48 yr old handmade 12 string. Tnx carl !

I know you looked at the Golden Age tuners from Stewmacs. It's too bad they don't offer the same finish options for the 6 on a plate that they do for the 3 on a plate. Still nothing fancy but they certainly are smooth and work well. I have the 6 on a plate drill guide block for them that Stewmacs used to sell so have to use the Golden age ones at least a couple of more times to justify!

I get it darrel. When we lived in surrey bc. in 86. and had a order from stew mac, it was a long drive to the richmond airport, then pay the customs duty, extra shipping cost, and the xchange rate on the cdn $. Hope that changes.

I just got my first set of Rubners for a 6-string build I just started, they're really nice! Hopefully they make a set for a 12 string.

There is just no comparison between the Rubner tuners and the stew Mac golden age tuners.
I use both… not there’s anything wrong with the Stew Mac ones especially for the money they’re just not in the same league as the Rubners

The Rubners I've used on my classicals have been a great value. I like their matt silver finish too.
