I have a few old truss rods lying around. I would like to find out where I got this one. Double action, stainless, 15". The nut end is distinctively different than many others. Very compact design on the nut end. Recognize it? Thanks, Bob

Bob maybe check the adjustor in a vice on each one before using. Back in the day when I was building 2010ish and before Allied had a batch of truss rods that the adjustors failed and broke off, the welds failed.

We discussed it here for a few years and all knew to test first before use. I tossed mine and went with the Blanchard rod taking no chances.

I'm sure the issue (welds) has been addressed but these could be of that vintage.

These rods looked a lot like the Blanchard rod too which you can tell by the dissimilar threads, key to it's unique and notable design.

Thanks. It's good idea to test any welded truss rod.-Bob

It's kind of odd that you can't see visible welds on that rod.
