I say “ish” because my original database was lost during an unfortunate technology failure. The label should say “60ish” - oh well who cares!

This one is under 12hrs old. It’s redwood over cocobolo, with ebony and maple everywhere else.

The falling leaves theme is perfect. The shot of the reflection of the neck in the body is amazing. Beautiful as always!

Michael, beautiful instrument in all respects. Especially like the bridge design. Leaves me thinking…..how did he do that?

How wide is the maple perfling? You can actually see the curl, nice work!

I can only aspire to your standards, the guitar is outstanding. I must echo everyone on the inlays - they look like they fell there.

Yeah love that inlay theme, well done.

I always ask this question in my never ending search... What finish?

The neck and head plate are finished in burnished Ecopoxy. The back and sides are EM6000 over Silvertip. The top is straight EM6000.

Beautiful work Michael, as always.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

Another in a long line of beauties. Lots of nice details and the redwood and cocobolo look great together. I'm sure it sounds excellent too.
