Anyone else have a problem with their Jet 16-32 Drum Sander conveyor belt tracking? It worked great the first 2 years and now the adjustments just don't seem to work........ any tips?

The one time I had tracking problems was when I swapped out the original belt for a new one. The new one turned out to be not square. One edge was slightly longer than the other and no amount of adjustment could compensate for that. Flipping the belt didn't help either. Went back to the original belt which works. One of these days I'll try getting a new belt from a different source.

Having the same problem here with a Performax 16-32. The original broke so I am stuck with the new one. I finally found a setting where it doesn't go any further off track, but it is not running in the center. I loosened up the overall tension and that seems to provide better tracking than a tight belt.

Sold my Performax 16-32 but was having the same issue with drive belts. Bought several and also went back to the original. I replaced all the bushings on the rollers - no change. Tried crowning the drive roller with tape - no change. Finally located some of the Jet tracking blocks and they helped somewhat but the belt would eventually track to one side so I'd loosen it up and center it about every 15 passes of material through it. I heard somewhere that klingspor belts were more accurate than most. If you get a new belt examine the seam ends. If there is any offset send it back. I tried Highland and 2Sand and rejected both.

I almost whipped out my card and thought dang!t how am I supposed to get rid of my old one lol Can't sale it if it aint working properly. Talked to the guys and got some beta and how to set the conveyor belt. lets hope it works

Please let us know if it works out for you. I have a slender hope that maybe there's something I could adjust that would make the new belt I have work rather than risking buying yet another one that might be wonky.

My 10 -20 did that too and I jumped though all manner of hoops and nothing worked. Finally just left it where it wants to live and it works fine it's just not centered.
