For whomever may use these boards as one pc soundboards, for uku tops, or mismatched boards for painted instruments, or cutting into strips for glue joint strips. The customer that we used to sell these to by the 50-100 that made Bowed Psalteries got old and closed shop. So they have been accumulating and I just put the "full size variation" on sale with near 25% off. https://alaskawoods.com/product/high-to ... tar-board/ I gonna put the full size Dread/jumbo Non_figured [non torrified variation]AA Sitka on sale for 20% off also. https://alaskawoods.com/product/aa-dreadnought-n…red-sitka-spruce/ I've been accumulating hundreds of these that are either too close to tolerances for our major Manufacture customers, but for custom builders there's plenty of meat and room, Or one or more of the boards has a corner missing that makes them not full rectangles, that one our corporate customers rejects just for that but otherwise meats their AA criteria One of these days, when they are getting pinched for supply, their joining station guy will become smart enough to figure out how to join them. None of our other corporate manufactures have problems with those kind of boards. These boards are usually the first cut boards from a block where the split face is just cleaned up to get the first patternable board. Most of them are therefore right "on quarter" VG cut and stiff as glass. |
