Here is reason enough to lay down my guitar and learn to play the ukulele! This is hilarious and fun!

As much as I liked the shaft movies I was an even bigger fan of the spaghetti westerns ;)

Wow! Thanks for posting these. These folks really put the UK in ukulele!

So what do you call the "mega-baritone" ukulele the fellow on stage left is playing?
A contrabass ukulele?

I went to a concert of theirs' last year in Canterbury, Kent not far from my home, they are probably the best live act out there for pure entertainment. They have even appeared on the UKs most important live rock show, 'Later with Jools Holland'.

Due to them being so popular in the UK now, and the availability of cheap Chinese Ukes, a lot of schools are now using the ukelele as a first instrument at primary school level instead of the recorder. Until this group started up the Uke was a bit of a joke instrument over here, Tiny Tim and all that.

I really enjoyed their version of Nirvana's "smells like teen spirit". The gent on the left was having quite a "head banging" moment. laughing6-hehe

Great stuff!!

The first vid is from the Cheltenham Folk Festival last year. I was there right at the front. I hadn't heard them before and they were just so cool.

Actually, they played just after 'Seasick Steve' - Awesome. This could only happen in England [:Y:]
