So I had a chance to saw up the first few sets and they are better than I hoped for. Here is a picture of one set:

And here is a close up of the same set showing (in poor light [xx(] ) the even colour and silky medullary rays.

Here are the sets (some cedar guitar and autoharp sets and some spruce bracewood):

And here is why we are "High Mountain Tonewood Company". A view from the front porch of the resaw shop.

The spruce in this picture is from one block (one round). We split up three more rounds yesterday and will probably do more 3 or so more next weekend and I plan on sawing most of next week. So these sets should be shipping soon.

Thanks
Shane

I'll want some Shane along with some brace wood. Just trying to decide how many.

Thought I would add a couple of pictures of me bucking a block off the logs yesterday. Winter is starting to set in here so we want to haul out as much as we can as this area will be covered in a few feet of snow before too long. We saw lots of wolf tracks yesterday and one pine martin crossed the road in front of us. Everything is on the move!

Thanks for the pics Shane! When ready, I'll take a few sets (Jumbo sets if possible) and some brace wood.

Forget it Darryl. I wanted some Shane myself a while back, but he never let me touch him.

Hey Kevin, I am taking names right now. I have quite a few orders but there are about 3000 sets in those logs so there is lots of room yet. I have processed a few sets as I wanted to confirm the quality (which I have done) and now I am working on processing into billets in the bush before the logs get buried in snow, later this week I will be doing more sawing and doing a lot of sawing in December with the bulk of the orders planned to ship late December or early to mid January.

Thanks
Shane

That's some big rounds coming off there my friend! I would need several saws just to get the ones I get pinched out. Let me know when you've got something to ship.
Cheers,
Danny

I know how that goes! I always pack two saws just in case, thankfully I have been doing this enough now that I don't often have to get the second saw out to get me out of a bind!

Shane,
That wood's just too pretty to pass up! I'm interested, just not sure how many sets I can swing. Will let you know.

Hi Shane. Could you please put me on the list for a box of 12? If a box is no longer available, I'd still be in for some single sets if those are available. Shipping would be to Honolulu, Hawaii 96813. Thanks and I'm happy I could have a chance to get some beautiful Lutz from you.
