Hey Colin, someone saw the value in your hand made guitar enough to buy it, and that has to be very gratifying, even if it is not your intention to be selling guitars. You are right to be pleased, and I'll bet the guy who bought it couldn't get his wallet out fast enough! That's the kind of validation that craftsmen look for.

Good job Colin. As for owing the store keeper I would worry about that. I Don't think you do. That's just my opinion. Now a few mentioned about him maybe giving you some wall space. I know from experience about putting instruments in established shops on consignment. It's not always a good thing. Since the store doesn't own this as they do their standard inventory they are more likely to not give a crap about it. I had an instrument receive numerous scratches and scuffs in a local shop. Now I'm not saying all shops are this way but you have to takes this as a warning about what can happen. Hang a shingle out and place a few ads in local music publications and such. I hope you gave the guy a business card or your contact info. He may tell his friends about you. Word of mouth is the best advertisement out there..Mike
