Jet has a new 'Vortex Cone' that looks promising. Anyone use/have one?

modifying your existing unit to include a Thein baffle is cheaper and works better

I am in the process of installing a laguna cyclone. 4.5 hp,with an auto clean feature on the filter. Hopefully this will be better than my current machine.
I will be running 2 sanders, a jointer planer, table saw, band saw and router table.
As John Hall said the sanders really plug up the filters. I currently am running a 3hp grizzly, non cyclone and I only get 10-15 minutes of sanding before the filters are plugged. There is a set of internal paddles to knock out the dust manually. The heavier stuff doesn't seem to be too bad.
Once it is up and running, I will post a report.

I started with a 1 1/2 hp bag unit. that worked great bit was only a 5 micron filter. I saw a clearview unit that actually impressed me. My buddy has a 5 hp clearview and it worked with his sander very well. The cyclone did a good job of separation. Filters were remarkably clean.

I am a very small shop but I have been running a clearview 5 hp cyclone for two years with the same filters. I really like it.
