Shane,

So far I figured $500 for 12 tops plus $38 shipping to 99205, Washington, + 114.75 for 51" bracewood. Let me know the shipping to for the 51" of bracewood and I'll send a paypal.

Thanks again,

Pat

Hi Shane,

Sorry to see this happening. However, you must be excited. All the best!

Here's hoping you have some wood available.

Warmest regards,

You bet Michael, there are still a few sets available. We are still pulling billets out of the bush but will be sawing soon. Might try and get the harp sets done on the band mill today.

Thanks
Shane

Shane, best wishes for your upcoming adventures. I have enough of your Lutz to build for a couple of years (at my pace), but will miss you, your service to this community and the lovely wood. Hopefully, the traditions will be honored. Cheers.

Hello Shane,

Call me at your earliest convenience. You have both my numbers......I think! Partly wood related, part cnc and part biz.

No worries James, I have you on the list! The snow has hit so now we will be heading for the shop to saw sets, I doubt we will get back to the logs until spring but we have a good jag of billets to process.

Best of the season to you!

Thanks
Shane

Shane, I ordered 4 of your tops during the swap-a -looza in March got the tops sometime in April, one was defective, got in touch with you in April and thats the last I've heard from you. Forget about replacing the defective top and cancel my order haha. I'm either going to give the three decent tops to a new builder or use them for kindling, good luck and good riddance.

Congrats on your new venture and direction Shane. But I'm going to need to buy a few sets of nice spruce from you before you quit, having never done so in the past. There's no time like the only time I guess...
Save me a fewreall nice sets!

Thanks Don and Steve for the positive words of encouragement. Greg, I sent you a PM.

Don, I have you down on the list and will get back with you when sets are ready.

We are going to start to saw sets next week. Have a whole log's worth of billets ready for the saw but have a lot of orders to fill as well. Also, there looks like positive progress on someone carrying on with HMTC. They will be around as we start to process to see if it fits in with their other plans (on paper it certainly does...)

The best of the season everyone.

Shane

I've never ordered anything from Canada before, does anyone know if I will be hit with any additional border taxes or anything? And of so, how do I estimate how much?

Hi Bryan,

There are no duties or brokerage fees. In some states there may be state tax to pay, but if it is anything like here it is pretty hit and miss. Just ensure that you use the USPS for shipping. Using any of the courier companies will invoke brokerage fees and processing fees and trying to look pretty on a Monday fees, etc. It just gets silly!

Thanks
Shane

Bryan - you can expect to find trace amounts of maple syrup and Molson Canadian beer on your order. laughing6-hehe. Somewhere on the package, you'll also find an official Canada Post " Thanks, Eh?"

Hey Rob, we started in the shop sawing billets last week and will continue all this week. Some sets will start shipping week after next.

Thanks

Just a quick note to say that we are progressing well. Here are a bunch of sets that will start to ship early next week. We still have about 300 sets to saw up and then we are out of billets. I have to leave in about 10 days for 4 weeks so I am trying to get all of this wood out the door before then. It is looking positive that a local sawmill will take over HMTC and I will work with them for a bit to ensure that they know all that I know about processing tonewood. I will be transferring over a log from this same tree for them to get started with as well. More details on that when they are finalized. Anyway, here a couple of pictures of sets that are ready to ship.
