You're all invited, even though I know you aren't likely buyers. But bringing a potential buyer with you would be welcome. [:Y:]
**********************************************************

Once again the Luthiers Consortium will be displaying guitars and mandolins made by a select group of hand builders at the annual NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA, January 15-18, 2009. By day we will have our instruments displayed at Booth 1615 in Hall E, which we share with Allied Lutherie. By night we will throw a party at our hotel where these and more instruments will be available for play, perusal, and purchase. Refreshments will be served, and some great players will stop in to pick and grin. Jamming is encouraged and musical joy is a strong possibility. The intimate atmosphere and presence of each guitar or mandolin's maker will be a stark contrast to the multi-ring industry circus of the NAMM Show.

The Luthiers Consortium is an amorphous non-organization of instrument makers who are dedicated to excellence in their craft, and who eschew factory methods in favor of creating one-of-a-kind pieces of the luthier's art. This year our hotel is the Islander Inn at 424 W. Katella, a block east of the show.

The NAMM Show in Anaheim is the largest trade show of musical instrument manufacturers in North America. It is not open to the general public. Our party, however, is open to all lovers of fine lutherie.

I'd love to go Howard, but I have other committments already that trump NAMM this year, darn it! I usually go to NAMM every couple of years (it's a bit "samey" to go every year IMO), so I'm planning on being there next year. You have a great show - hope you all get tons of orders, despite the economy!!

Cheers,
Dave F.

Still on the fence about this years show. If I can bundle with other business in CA I'll head down.
Would be very interested to attend and get a feel for the music business in our "new economy".

Michael, you will be just a bridge pin's throw away. It's the best neighborhood.

Well I am getting excited now! I will be staying an hour and a half away from the convention center at my brothers home in Hollywood Hills. It free so I will not complain about the drive :D
