Hi!

Yesterday I stringed my very first instrument, a J-bass style electric bass. I was really proud and happy from the result. bliss I plugged it yesterday night, but I still had to set the nut, the bridge, intonation, action, etc.
And this morning, I hurt myself on a bandsaw, who grabbed some meat of my left thumb. [xx(]

So, I got my really first instrument finaly ready, waiting to be played and shown. And I can't play.

So frustrating! [headinwall]

Sorry, I had to share! :(

During my first serious build (I had played around in a not so serious manner previously), I put my finger into a belt sander. Luckily, that was about a month before I finished the guitar, so I was able to play it. But, a guy who was working along side me put 4 of 5 of his fingers on one of his hands into the same belt sander while doing the final set up. I played his guitar for him so that he could hear it....

Sorry! What a disappointment. I hope it's a temporary and minor setback.

So many reminders to me to really treat these tools we use with a healthy dose of respect and precaution.

Hang in there!
Getting cut,scraped,burned,and etc.............
Happens when we get excited over a new instrument and we loose sight of the need to work safely.

You'll enjoy it more once you can play it.
