Well, it took longer than I had planned and hoped. But there were also many more sets ordered than I had anticipated as well. Here is eveidence from the post office this morning.

Attachment:
Jan10.jpg

So, it took about 10 weeks from the onset of the sale for me to process, label, dry, package and ship these sets, just over 600 of them. During that time we also had Christmas, the annual week of the winter flu and other items that I had to work on as well. So all in all I am not unhappy with the timeline and if I do this again I will be more realistic in my predictions for delivery. All but 2 packages from the sale shipped, I will contact those two whose packages are not ready (I need to cut more sets for them) and let them know.

Thanks again for the support in this sale, I will now return you to the original broadcast on this, and other forums!

Thanks

Shane

Thanks Shane. Looking forward to building a few Lutz soundboard guitars......you probably deserve a much needed break. On the plus side, it must be great to have such demand for your woods.

Lutz has been received. Thanks bro. And healthy mix. Also liked the enclosed reading material. It's always good to know what's going on up there. Maybe next time you could pack with something other than the obituaries though.

Cheers,
Danny

Danny is probably the closes Geographically speaking to Shane. Mind you for them to get to each other, they'd need 3 ocean ferry rides to do it. Probably why Danny got his package so quick ;)

*Sigh*
It seems like it takes 3-4 weeks for shipments out of Terrance, BC to arrive here in SC...

I am surely looking forward to it, though.

Thanks

John

I'm glad it takes Shane's shipments so long to reach the East Coast - else it would be buried somewhere under 10 feet of snow at this point!

Yup, that is weird! I sent Greven some on wood at the same time as all of these packages and he got his in Oregon on Wednesday!

Anyway, I just tracked it Lillian and and they (USPS) say that they are preparing to delivery so you will probably see it Monday.

I am glad the wood is arriving and that people are liking the wood!

Thanks again

Shane

Thanks Shane for the update. I wasn't torqued at you, not at all. Just puzzled with USPS' performance. The stuff south of me probably went by plane where as mine sped to the border and then went by wagon train through Omak. laughing6-hehe

Thanks again for looking into for me. Just one more example of superb customer service. I'll be let you know when it gets here.

Got mine yesterday bliss , it looks great!! I'm going to stack and sticker it
today to get a couple of months extra time to dry and adjust to the RH in
my neck of the woods.

THANKS, Shane!

I thought they would take awhile to get to Iowa, but I got mine last week... the sets are all beautiful!! Now, when I "demo" how a nice piece of spruce sounds to customers and visitors I will use this latest batch... These have a bigger tap tone than anything in my stash! Thanks Shane!!! Yet again, the true mark of the quality of tonewood is (so often) where it came from, not how many "A"s it has!!!
