Official Luthiers Forum!

Hi all, just joined the forum on a luthier friends recommendation. Some great info here and some damned talented people (some of the woodcarving is especially stunning ). I started my first build (well .... LMI kit build but sorta diverging quite a bit from their plans) and am loving the process. Hi Richard, Welcome! Looks like you've got a good start. I see you enjoyed making your radius dishes as much as the rest of us (what a mess, huh) but looks like it came out good I hope you found the pooch before he starved

thanks guys .... and Steve - the dog appeared from under the mountain of sawdust after 3 days looking somewhat perplexed poor lad lol. The making of the radius dishes was indeed an "interesting" task. I couldnt find MDF in France so tried (stupidly) using agglomerate. 2 router collets and one flying bit later I learned my lesson
