Any interest? I realize this could be complex, so we'd have to figure out how to minimize the "options space". It would be nice if we could get enough interest in buying bulk for a better price. Just so it does not appear that I am loading Lance or Brock down with yet another task, and if no one had any problems with it, I would be willing to do the ordering and shipping once we reached the appropriate threshold.

The 100+ min to max price over the product line is $15.36 to $19.74 (about a 50% discount)

I am guessing we cannot mix it up (or does anyone know to the contrary?)

I am in to for the 15 usd price. I can take 5-10-15-20. depending on how many is in on the deal. I also think its just to call Kevin and ask him if it would be ok to split the types so it still would come out to 100 but with 10 of this and 10 of that and so on. if he/they say no, well then thats just bad business. :P

Lars, I have an email into him... we will see.

I think what they would have to do is pick a price, maybe the average of those two numbers? And keep it that simple.

Why would it be bad business to stick to his policy. I can totally appreciate the 100 unit min for max savings. He has to set up for each different type of product he produces and to do 10 of this and 10 of that till he gets to 100 units he has 10 different set ups to do, why should have give a break on the price for all that work? It's about production Lars, not total quantity of different products, however similar they may be. Why are you so hard on this guy for making money?

Lets not get off track here...

I assumed when I posted this that he has "bunches" already made and its a matter of "picking" from stock. Could be I am all wrong about that based on Rod's comment, in which case, this idea of mine would make no sense at all. Also, I was thinking if they agreed, we could offer to pay the highest price ($19.74) which would make it easier. At that price, its all a great deal.

We will see.

Rod I am not hard on him, sorry if I came out sounding this way. I was merly thinking that his pricings are because of quantity not of kind ! To stick ones hand down 5 baskets to pick up say 20 of each would not in my world be lots of work would it, if he then gets to sell 100pc or more by doing so !. I am always looking at things as if it were me running things. companies that can bend the rules/policies to serve their customers are the companies that the customers will return to. I could just not see why splitting up to sale into say 5 piles would be extra work. I dont think AST are making these as you order them. I assume they are in stock waiting to be bought.

Just a guess, but I suspect it has more to do with buying the shell stock (he doesn't have to "hold" as many left overs) and fabrication time (it is easier to make a big batch from the same materials all at once than a small batch)

He may say yes to mix and match... I really don't know, but if he doesn't I suspect these reasons will be the reasons for not allowing it.

Well, it turns out that Kevin is quite positve on the idea! Base price is $19.64 per strip. Pick what you want. When we hit or exceed 100 pieces, we are all set, each order will be tube packed from AST, all in a single box to me. I think we already are close to 100 pieces. I offered up the higher price as I think that makes the most sense and so does Kevin. At the same time, you are saving a bunch! Shipping costs from me are extra, based on your location, but I will do everything I can to minimize. Please consider this an experiment, and accept it for what it is. Pm me with your request and keep it simple ( one type). For now, let's keep this limited to shell only, no linings. Cool?

Let me ammend this. If you want, say, two types instead of one, I would like to suggest a minimum piece number. 5. Five should be the minimum order of anyone type. Then, if you want 4 types, u get 20 pieces total. Does this sound reasonable? I'm asking, not telling, but at some point, I have to make a call. $100 per type just seems very reasonable. What I do not want to do is sort and collate orders. AST tubes them and I ship out to individuals, that's all. No onesie twosies.

Lance, Brock, I would appreciate if we could get this stickied for a while...

We are up to 41 by my count based on PMs only (10 of those are mine).

Bert Foster
Matt Jacobs
Daniel Minard

So, is there interest in going to a 100?

Don't worry TOO much about the 5 piece minimum, that was more of a question then anything else...

PLEASE provide EXACT SKU# and amount of each. That is all I need to know for now.

Mike
