Ok - it's not about guitar building - but I AM playing a guitar I built in the band - does THAT count?

Our local newspaper is having a March Music Madness competition to coincide with the basketball tourney.

They selected the top 16 cover bands in our town and put them in a bracket.

We were included and have now made it to the final four!

If you are so inclined we could really use your vote!

Voting is today, Friday, March 31st through tomorrow, April 1st at 10 PM (CST)

Here is the link to vote - it only takes seconds.

Please vote for my band - The Wheezetones AND our friends from Soul Dawg in the other bracket.

The winning band gets a feature article in the entertainment section of our newspaper - which would be fun after playing with these guys for 18 years!

Done. I'm happy to vote for any band that includes some Canadian content ("No Time" by the Guess Who) in their set list.

Pat

Great cover of my old home town band, the Guess Who, Paul! Looks like a good time was had by all. You got my vote buddy.

Cheers,
Danny

You got mine two!

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.
