After moving, getting a new shop set up, and life in general, I finally got to use the mini planes I bought from Stephen Boone. In my opinion they work great, right out of the box, no set up and no hassles. Like the title says "Oh the joy" when you buy a tool and it works as described. Thanks Stephen for making the process easier. bliss

Tim,

Let me say that I really do appreciate you taking the time to make your comments. It sure is nice to hear that you are happy. I do lose sleep worrying about my mini-planes falling apart, or not working, or failing to satisfy, or causing some calamity.

You sure made my day!

Go back to sleep, Stephen. You got nothing to worry about. I made the modifications to mine that I saw you making in the video on making the planes. Great upgrades - more rounded sole and more tapered sides. It's the only plane I use for braces, now. I have recently seen some stuff on pre-shaping fan braces, but I leave mine square, just so I can use your plane to bevel them. I do knock the corners off my TB's before installing, but I still come back and taper them with your plane.

With accolades like these I just had to order a pair.

Thanks, [:Y:]

I'm still kind of new with the plane, but the little Boone plane I bought is effortless, a joy to use. The other ones take constant adjusting.

Sure John, pm me with a number and we'll work something out.

The only problem with these planes is that they are so effortless that it's easy to get carried away and remove too much material
