Are any of you guys using the Wood Finish Gloss for the build coats and then topping off a coat or two with the Clear High Gloss Varnish as per the instructions on the Epifanes' website? All of the posts I could find here mention the use of the Clear High Gloss Varnish only. Seems like the Wood Finish Gloss would speed things up considerably, but maybe this is detrimental to tone in the end?

I no longer use Epifanes (at no fault of the product, another varnish is easier for me to get) but I used to. I only had 1 pint of the "Wood Finish Gloss", but at least to my eyes it didn't have the clarity of the "normal" Clear Gloss. Experiments on scrap are as far as I got with the "Wood Finish Gloss". With any finish I recommend experimenting on scrap and seeing what the results are.

Thanks, Woody. I also realized after the fact that you want to sand in between coats to get rid of any dust, therefore it's best to stick with the High Gloss Varnish.
