Hello, has anybody any ideas, what kind of wood this could be, for sure it is not limba, actually it is quite dense and hard, not like limba, but I have not really an idea...thank you very much for any comments, best regards, Alex

thank you for your answer, but i just resawed about a douzen sets of osage orange, and it is not osage orange. This for me unknown stuff has lots of very fine medulary rings, very differnet appearance of osage ornage, only the colour is a bit the same., but thank you anyhow.

Looks like Mulberry wood, I/ve resawed some very close to o/o in colour.

Thank you ernie, but it has not the growing rings / growing zones like the mulberry, more not visible grwoing rings, like limba , but way denser and heavier...

Almost looks like a really pale , perfectly quartered African Mahogany or Sapele. Scrape some and tell us what it smells like.
