I wanted to build a custom neck with more strings room for playing fingerpicking with a medium gauge (13-56). The regular width (45mm.) is a little bit narrow and I have heard that some luthiers change to 12 strings neck to afford this.
Question is, what's the common nut width for a 12 string neck?

And what about a fingerstyle width? I hear about 47.7mm but don't know for sure...
