Sorry to drag out this old chesnut again, but if any Canadian builders are shipping guitars made from CITES protected mahogany (which has been properly imported into Canada) back over the border to US customers, can you tell me what's required beyond normal Lacey paperwork (and NAFTA, US Border Security forms etc ) Thanks.

AFAIK, finished product is not CITES restricted in hondo hawg ..... ony sawn logs, boards and veneers in unfinished form require special paperwork - check the CITES site for sure. Last one I shipped went thru fine with the typical Lacey stuff ....

CITES allows for different levels of restriction. In that vein, Honduran mahogany is not at the same level as Brazilian RW (not yet, anyway).
