Just looked over most supporting vendor but none had what I am looking for.
Looking for Swiss, Italian or German Spruce Soundboards. Jumbo sized.
Anyone have or know where I can get some?

Thanks

If you're open to any european spruce, I'd recommend Old world towewoods. Great prices, great service, and John's spruce is of an amazingly high quality.

I'l put in a good word for http://www.best-eurospruce.com/3.html
I've had some dealings with Martin, found him very helpful and his wood good quality and realistically priced

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

ditto.
if you´re interested in german spruce (from the german/austria border), Rudy Fuchs (germanspruce(dot)com) has some really nice wood and impeccable service. ciresa is a good source for italian spruce from the fiemme valley (they also carry some bearclaw).

cheers,
miguel.
