I am in the process of fixing up a 70's Gretsch Super Axe and was hoping to find a Gretsch hard case that it would fit in.

Unfortunately, my search efforts have been fruitless. I have contacted countless shops, and even Gretsch proper.

The problem is that these guitars were made when Baldwin owned the company, so everything about it is just a little obscure compared to present day Gretsch.

Does anyone know if there is a term for the Super Axe's particular shape, or if you know of a present day Gretsch electric that has the same/very similar shape?

Here's a nice shot of the guitar:

There is a guy on eBay selling a whole bunch of Gretsch stuff.
Can't remember if he has any cases, but he does have spare Super Axe bodies and so on.
He might know who has some.
