The pictured set is 'OK' at best. I actually like it quite a bit, in terms of color and grain patterning, but it's certainly not particularly 'high grade' in my book. It's also relatively expensive; I get my stuff in Europe (where things are more expensive) for about that, after tax and shipping, per set. Allied will sell you their top grade at 90 bucks a pop. Bob C will let you select sets that are at least as nice for less as well.

I do buy from Bob at RC Tonewoods and have gotten some nice stuff from him. I was just curious if anyone has experience with them.

RC has a great reputation - and so does Allied. The $50 EIR set I got from Todd looks outstanding. Can't wait to build with it.
