Is it better to use gold tuners with the Evo fret wire? Would gold hardware look better or does it not really matter? I'm sure it's just a matter of taste, but I thought I'd get opinions...

I think it looks better that way.
I'm building an instrument for a friend,
and he thought it would look better too!

I use the EVO without the gold tuners and don't find it a distraction.I find the gold color of the EVO very subtle. Certainly the gold tuners go with the EVO very nicely if you like the gold look.

The gold color of the Evo wire is subtle and if used with phosphor bronze strings doesn't even show up - IMO. I wouldn't worry about it but I would ask a customer if they had a preference.

I often match gold tuners to the EVO fretwire, but an option that I prefer even more is the black chrome finish you can get from Gotoh. It looks great with the gold frets.

+ 1 for black, though I use as many gold as black.
