Lying in bed thinking of a design for a guitar vise then all of a sudden it hits me. Most all my stationary machinery are on mobile bases that I usually weld up. I have a dozen or so wooden carts from Harbor Freight that I use in the shop for cabinets, furniture, etc... Some of them I've stripped the casters off for my metal mobile bases. I kept the wooden frames in case I needed them for something. (Hardwood and carpeted) So I took one of the smaller frames and removed the bolts, cut it in half, attached a plywood frame with dowels and a bolt and attached it to a WorkMate.
Probably not the first guy to do this, but it was so simple, cheap and easy (like my first girlfriend :o ) I thought I would throw it in here.
