Don't know if any of the members here near our Nation's Capitol have ever attended an Acoustifest event at Melodee Music in Sterling, VA. Sterling is about 35-40 minutes (on a weekend if you know what I mean) from DC.

It's a day devoted to Acoustic guitars with clinicians in attendance sponsored by folks like Martin, Taylor, and Cordoba guitars this year. In the past Breedlove and Collings have sponsored folks.

This year Taylor guitars is having Corey Witt, Phil Brown, and Andy Powers (Bob Taylor's future replacement) perform, show off new guitars and answer questions.

Martin is sponsoring Shaun Hopper....he is amazing and takes percussive guitar to new levels.

I know some of the folks here have attended in the past and would like to hear how there experience was.

I've attended 11 or 12 of these events over the years. These last two year I'm driving in from Pittsburgh, because its worth it. The year Bob Taylor attended was very cool.

Anyone in VA, MD or PA can make it there pretty easily. Martin always brings in alot of custom guitars. I realize that everyone here builds their own instruments but there's still alot of value in attending this.
