John,

I wanted to offer you a quick thank you on the advice you gave me yesterday over the phone in bending some Honduran Rosewood. I bent the wood as you had explained to me, without a hitch (or crack or warping). I still have to touch it up on the pipe a little bit to have it fit my mold perfectly, but the help you gave me bending it on my form was perfect, spot on, as the brits say.

I just wanted to say thank you publicly so the newer members know they can reach out to ask questions when they are in a bind. John Hall, Todd Stock, and I am sure many others have offered excellent help to me and many others out there. I am grateful for this and I have become a better builder through their guiding -

Happy building,

John Aguilera

+1,

Last year I asked John for some advice about the dovetail joint, and he was a tremendous help!

Thank you John, and all the marvellous luthiers that help each other on this forum :)

Q.

I recall my second build took about 200 hours (my first was a highly recommended LMI fully serviced kit)
It took that long because I spent so much time viewing the excellent "how-to" videos by John, Todd, Chris.....
Many thanks to these amazingly altruistic folks!

PS: Johns video of blasting a 1" hole through the center of the radius dish and "driving the bus" for contouring the sides was brilliant!
