Hi all, I have found a source for 4" thick Honduran Mahogany $8.5 - $13.5 per board foot in North Carolina

They have a container load of 4" thick boards, mostly flatsawn 5"-7" widths- but I was able to find a couple of 9" wide quartersawn 96" long pieces. CITES papered, 8-11% mc. Very nice people to deal with and interested in becoming a forum sponsor.

Walter,
I'm in Raleigh. Where did you find it?
Steve

Looks great, can you show a photo of the 4 inch thick stock. Those photos are not 4 inches.

The grain is incredibly straight in that Mahogany. I also would love to know the source but assume that they probably don't ship. Stock that long and straight grained sawn on the quarter is very nice.

I bought it from Mr Brian Boggs (the chairmaker). Here's the invoice

I wanted to see what's inside, so each plank was sawn down the middle.
