wife MJ contacted me just now asking for well wishes and prayers.
He was thrown from a horse and is in ICU at Mercy in Springfield Mo.

She says, "He has 2 punctured lungs 8 fractured ribs plated back together. His kidneys did not process the dye from the CT scan and he is on dialysis.
He was life flighted out and is getting good care- we just need prayers."

Send them if you can!

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.
