My first of two Ameritage cases arrived today. My first reaction was Wow! That is one tough case! And beautiful too! I got the dred case, gold series, best fit for the models I'm building now. Yes, as others have said, heavy and big. But I like that.Image

Love the humidity control device

How long did you wait, if I might ask?

Pat

Less than a week. It's not a custom build. Btw, custom builds cost only $30-$40 more but take 6-7 weeks. Gonna use that process next time.

Mike (the luthier pricing is astounding... make sure you contact Nancy at Ameritage)

Hi
Would you be willing to tell us how much the shipping was? Thanks - Mike

That's plenty quick enough for off-the-shelf. My customs were about what you posted.

Yup, heavy. I guess that would matter to some. To me, its a good sign.

The case was ~$220, shipping was ~$30 :)

Had I known about the deal luthiers get, I would have been using them all along. I will from now on. And, of course, they are a sponsor here.

Don't they have roadies for that?

I like the insides of those Hiscox cases. The outsides are ugly... but I get the fact that they are more about function. For future references, do they offer discounts? I checked their website, did the dealer search and nothing came up.

My last customer bought a custom colored Hoffee. Darn heavy case, I thought. On the other habd I kinda like the "whup" sound it makes when you open it and break the airtight seal.

When I saw this topic I was assuming that you had tested a bullet proof case, was hoping for some gunshots. Oh well.
