Have a look at this, unless you want something
other than constant radius.

Hi Filippo,
Are you looking for something like the large ovolo bits Amana offers?
If you want a shallower cove profile you can use a core box or round nose bit of a larger diameter and not use the full profile.

Guys, I need what is starting to look like a special router bit for a design I'm working on. I need a cove bit profile, but WITHOUT the bearing. I don't need a box bit nor a bowl bit. Specifically the more gentle curve of a cove bit.

Anyone have pointers or suggestions where to look? I've already done a variety of basic searches ...

Filippo

Whiteside will make you anything you want in the good ol USA to boot, and won't skin you in the process. My dad and brothers have cabinet/furniture shops and have had several bits made with great results.

It might help to know the dimensions of the rout you want the bit to make and what use you are putting it to. If we understand the problem we might be better able to suggest solutions.
I make large shallow coves using a table saw and different diameter saw blades. That is how I generally shape the heel on the guitar necks. Radius dishes are large flattened coves in cross section made with various methods. More than one way to skin a cat.

I think if you search for "Corner Radius End Mill" you'll find what you're looking for.
