Greetings,

I just got back from a wedding up in the frozen north. While my wife was helping take care of the bride, I stopped at a couple of wood suppliers and checked out their wares. Didn't buy much, but did find this board with a really nice figure. If it were Mahogany, I would call the figure "plum pudding". But it is Pau Amarillo (yellowheart). Has anyone ever run across the "plum pudding" figure in any other wood besides Mahogany? I hope the pictures are OK. Color is off. I will try and take a couple better ones tomorrow if it is a sunny day.

Thanks
Ken

In kauri they call it whitebait. I suppose that would work for yellowheart too.
