I'm thinking about doing a group buy again. But this time for US market only. This might make it difficult to achieve (worth it for AST to do), but they have always been awesome in the past. We usually get a very good 100 count price, regardless of what u want. Meaning, we have got to at the very least hit 100 pieces. We have never had that problem before, but we did have a significant out of US purchase amount. Can't do that anymore. Laws and all of that. Unless that has changed. So, if ur interested, say so here, with a count estimate. Figure around $20 per strip as a good estimate. Once we get well over 100 count, I'll take it to the next level. I will only mail to US addresses. If ur out of country, you have to figure it out from there. I will tell u, I have seen clever, legal responses to that involving embassies and what have you. All legal. And I'll help with that. As long as address is US.

Mike, how long is one piece and how many pieces would you need for say a D45 style?

Chuck,

They are 15" long. I'm not sure about how many for a D45. But that should help u figure it out.

Mike

Ps: if I had to guess, I'd say one for rosette, and 5 for top

Does anyone know if it's legal for someone from Canada to buy Zipflex in the US while on vacation and bring it back to Canada with them when they return?

Pat

Just hide it real well when crossing te border.....lol

On a serious note I may be interested. But what does AST stand for?

EDIT: never mind, I just realized AST is the company that makes zip flex. My other question would be to what size and color you would be ordering.

Put me in for a dozen as long as we can mix and match. I got some leftovers to use.

Pat, you may take delivery in the US. What u do with it afterwards is up to you. ;) Yes, pat could buy it in Canada now, but 100 count price is out unless he buys 100 pieces. Yes, we can mix and match. Maybe Lance can make this sticky?

Perhaps one day, AST will give OLFers a special continuous price, but until then, thus us the only way I know to get the 100 count price.

Mike

One other note: PayPal is not very cooperative with stuff like this. They get 3% coming and going. Meaning, if you want to use it, you'll need to add 3%. I will be paying AST with a check. My preference is checks only. The last time I did this, we did have lots of folks use PayPal, but they added 3%. No, it cannot be done as friend to friend money transfer. Mainly because they see 20-30 people do that in my account and they lock it down. That's what happened the first time we did this.

If ur new here and do not know of me and fear sending a check, either ask others around here who have dealt with me or just use PayPal.

Mike

What color? What size? 15" is the size. There are various widths, colors, materials. Pick what u want. The idea is for us to get a large order (count wise) and AST delivers. So go to there website and decide. But in the meantime, post ur number and intent. Deadline? Haven't thought about that. In the past it usually takes about 3 months from start to finish to get it all worked out.

Do u want some? Looks like we are up to about 60 plus mine. We will need to get a bunch more if we are to do this

Color and width are not limited. Just pick what u want and we submit an aggregate order. Kevin has been so nice in the past to accommodate OLFer orders like this. But we need to do our best to make it worth his while.

Ok one more question, will you be shipping the orders out or will they come directly to us from AST? I only ask because I'm in the process of buying a house/moving across the state. And the timeline would determine the shipping address. If it's coming from you I could just give u whatever address I'm at once you receive the stuff.

I'm in for about 10. I live about 25 miles from Kevin's shop. Would it be possible to have him hold mine there? I can just pick them up.
