Quite a deal at 50$ I guess, if it works, though I don't really know so much about saws...

I would think if one could get it at anywhere close to that price it would be a steal. Might need a bit of work but would result in a real solid tool. Looks like 14" or 16"........?

It's not $50 though. That's just the opening price of the auction. Whether it stays at $50 remains to be seen.

I had one , and had to sell it as there were not much in safety guards but it was a good saw and served me well. It is still in use in a friends cabinet shop. They are stout machines I think $350 to $500 is a fair price for one.

Walker Turner made decent machines, similar in quality to Delta and Powermatic. Some of them were a little quirky but generally well made. Being an older saw and by a less well known maker I would be surprised if it brings more than $200 (but I've been surprised before). As long as the bearings and tires are good it could be a good deal for someone.

I have that saw!! I picked it up off the side of the road after hurricane Katrina . After being submerged in salt water for a week, it runs great after a new motor and a little TLC!

May your sails be full & your glass never be empty!

I had the same one once-not crazy about it.They are a little quirky on the tracking. I would hold out for an older Delta 14" or Powermatic.

That saw is a sleeper. In the shot of the side where you are looking at the pulley, there is a handle to the right of that pulley? It is to shift a transmission that takes the bade from the wood cutting speeds of 1,000 to 4,000 FPM and take it down to metal cutting speeds of 100 to 400 FPM. I have the same saw and mine is a bit older and the handle looks different, but I used this beast to build boats where you are making metal parts and hardware. I love it. Disclaimer - I have never re-sawn 8 inches of wood with it.
