Just saw this cool set of 3 Minature Veritas chisels. They are 3 1/4" long with 3/8", 1/4", and 1/8" wide blades, and weigh in at one third of an ounce . They are made of 3/32" thick PM-11 steel with a 25 degree bevel and Bubinga handles. Something for the woodworker with everything! Santa is going over his list about now!!!

I have several of those miniature tools. Besides being cool to look at, I find that they come in handy once in a while.

Yeah. I saw these also. I don't know if I'd use them, but I'm getting them anyway because they are so cool!

Pretty cool little toy for only $39.99. I also have the Veritas miniature block plane and miniature spokeshave, and I actually use them all of the time. The block plane has a 2 1/2" long and 3/4" wide with an A2 blade. Perfect for a variety of tasks including brace carving and perfect for use on end grain with the combined 37 degree cutting angle. The mini spokeshave is 3 1/2" wide with an A2 blade on it as well.

I just got my miniature spokeshave and set of three chisels in the mail today, to go along with the block plane, shoulder plane and router plane I already had. These things are hard to resist - too cute. I use the shoulder plane to clean up binding ledges all the time, and have been trying out the block plane as one of my several choices for brace shaping. Haven't really used the router plane yet.

Free shipping at LeeValley for the next week. At least in Canada. I find it so much cheaper to buy when shipping is free, rather than driving up to their store in London. If I go to the store, I have to keep spending in order to stop drooling.
