Has anyone used one of these? It's half the price of normal fret files and I was wondering if it's any good.

I think it was discussed in Filippo's thread from a couple of weeks ago, Peter. viewtopic.php?f=10101&t=39568

I think there was another thread specifically about it a while before that one, but I haven't been able to find it again, and can't remember if anyone had actually tried it. I'm still curious how well it works... I think I'll try making something like it with wood and sandpaper before shelling out for the fancy diamond grit variety. But it does look like a good design, especially for those who like pyramid profile frets.

I want one of them gizmos.
I tried a non-diamond fret crowning file and ended up with gouges all over the fret.
I was tempted to hurl it into the pond.
It looks like he is shaping jumbo high frets in the video.
I'll wait to see if anyone has tried this before I order.
Dan

Wow. Never heard of this "Little Bone" until now.
I might try one - it's cheap, and if it doesn't work....
I'll do without like I have for the last 30 years....

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I'll have to try it out. I'll let you know if it works.
