My jaw just dropped, Steve! Is this a commission, or for yourself? Either way, someone will be very happy! [clap]

Alex, it's a commission, but it was pretty hard to let this one go.

Charlton, the new shop is great. An oversized 2-car garage, insulated, heated and air conditioned. With an insulated plywood floor.

I'm pretty much in heaven.

Steve

Gorgeous guitar! That's a nice clean, elegant design and I didn't know mahogany could look like that.

I like that! Very classy. I've never made a Mahogany topped guitar. A guy is bugging me to do one. Few questions-

What thickness did you wind up with for the top and why?

What's the finish?

What was your technique for making the bridge?

Thanks--nice job!

Hey Terrence, I'm not sure about top thickness. I work to deflection, and I treated this exactly as I would spruce.

Finish is french polish

Bridge technique was simple.

1. Pick up credit card.
2. Call Stewmac

:D

Steve

I just made the Thiel connection. I have a pair of Thiel speakers that I bought in the early 80's. They still sound great!

Hi Pat, yes it's photoshop. Or some obscure variant.

Hey Tony, I was going back and forth with Tom today after sending him a picture of the guitar. He'll be at ASIA with more from this tree. I have another back and side set, but I think I'm gonna need a top. I want to make another one of these. I was thrilled with the way this one worked out.
