Happy New Year to you et al too.

This year I think I might actually build some guitars, at least it's on my list to do anyway. I've got a new shop and it's been far too long.

Happy New Year to everyone, I hope everyone bends the side the right direction, glues the bridge in the right spot and makes lots of awesome guitars. All we can do is the best we can. Live long and keep making wood shavings.

Thanks Lance for everything you do for us. Can be a bit of a challenge at times I'm sure. I can't believe the great people I've met and the knowledge I've gained.

And what Jason said. :D

Happy 2016 to all!

All the best Lance, to you and your family.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.
